Dr Gruppetta has 38 years of experience, 35 of which involved veterinary public health and animal welfare. He was Chief Veterinary Officer from 2007 to 2013.

He was also Director and Director General for Fisheries and Aquaculture from 1999 to 2007.

In his professional activities he has been involved with the care of production and pet animals. In later years he has been involved in the care of exotics.

Dr Gruppetta was the first secretary of MVA and is still a member. He has been sitting on the VSC from onset except for a short period of two years.

He is the consultant of Xirka Produtturi Naghag u Moghoz.
