The Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Supply will be launching a public consultation on the draft Legal Notice on the Veterinary Surgeons Profession (Registration and Warranting) Regulations, 2026.

The proposed legislation establishes an updated regulatory framework governing the registration, warranting and professional obligations of Veterinary Surgeons in Malta.

The public consultation period will commence on Monday 20^th July 2026 and conclude on Monday 07^th  September 2026. During this period, stakeholders and members of the public are invited to access and view the draft Legal Notice and to submit their feedback and comments through konsultazzjoni.gov.mt

An in-person public consultation session will also be held on Wednesday 22^nd July 2026, from 09:00 until 12:00 (Vivaldi Hotel, STJ 06, Triq Dragonara San Ġiljan Dragonara Road, St Julians Triq Dragunara, St Julian’s STJ 06).
